Why we made this
Our favourite all-rounder, the Overland Sleeping Bag features a lightweight Pertex® Quantum shell and HyperDRY™ water-resistant down fill for warmth in cool, potentially damp conditions.
  • Product Description
Designed for comfort when you're on overnight hikes during the warmer months, the Overland 400 provides a combination of warmth, weather resistance and a compact size. Constructed with a lightweight Pertex® Quantum outer shell and filled with premium 650 loft HyperDRY™ water-resistant duck down, the Overland performs well in cool, potentially damp, conditions. Like all of our products, this sleeping bag is filled with down certified by the Responsible Down Standard (RDS) — an independent, voluntary global standard in the ethical sourcing of down and feathers — so you can feel good about feeling warm. I bought this sleeping bag on a recommendation from one of the staff in the chch Westfield store and I'm glad I listened to her as I do a lot of 4x4 exploring and sleeping in a swag tent on the ground up in some extremely cold areas and this bag has performed flawlessly, not once have a felt to cold even when camping in -5°C temperatures overnight, it packs down to a nice small package so I can even use it on overnight hiking trips aswell.
All around great design and would highly recommend.

Great and comfy and enough room. Haven’t tried it in the cold yet but it was too hot indoors in Rotorua in July. Will update next camp trip. I feel like it won’t be as warm as I thought it would be.

Hi, can 2 of these sleeping bags get zipped together functioning as a double sleeping bag?
Erika on Jan 16, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Additonal detail, the zips dont go all the way to the bottom of the bag. So most of the bag is double but there is a little space at the bottom of each where each person's feet go.
what is the length of the zip please?
Jane P on Oct 23, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi Jane, the Overland zip is roughly 146cm long. Thanks, The Macpac Team.
What's the lowest temperature recommended?
Spoon on May 14, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi Connor, thank you for your comment. The Temperature ratings for the Overland are comfort -1 limit -7 and extreme -24. Comfort is based upon the temperature at which a standard woman in standard conditions and in a relaxed posture has a comfortable nights sleep. Limit (limit of comfort) is based on the temperature in which a standard man in 'fighting against cold' posture ie curled up has a comfortable nights sleep. Extreme is based on the temperature at which a standard woman will survive in a situation of high cold stress for up to 6 hours. Generally speaking men run a little bit hotter than women so you could add a couple of degrees onto the limit and have a reasonable idea of what you would be comfortable at but every person is different in the way they hold heat/sleep so please be aware that it is just a guide. Sleeping mats with insulating technology help also.
Hi, what is the max height for a person that would be comfortable within this sleeping bag?
closhen on Nov 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hello Joshua,

You can check the size of the backpack in the size chart. The standard size for this model is 219 cm from bottom to the top of the hood - maximum height would probably be around 185cm.

Kind regards,
The Macpac Team
