Delaminates after a handful of uses
Have had two of these mats, both have delaminated and ended up with a massively bubble in the middle making them unusable. Don't waste your time.

Great for sore backs
After wakeing up one to many times with a bad back, I noticed these online & went to the store for more advice & purchased this mat, I love how I can ad more air myself to get my custom firmness, this mat is so comfortable, I do have it placed over my foam mat for better protection. More comfortable than the mattresses I have slept on in hotels & motels, will definitely recommend.

Don't get me wrong It's a good enough mat once it's inflated, but I do find it odd that you have to blow into it to fully inflate it? Isn't it called a self inflating mat?
Also don't like the idea of folding it in half to get it into its stuff sac, surely it should only be rolled? Other than those two concerns it's a good mat!

What is the best way to store this type of sleeping mat? Open and hung up or rolled up in the bag?
Kris O on May 11, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It should be left unrolled with the valve open. Also Macpac advises that the mat should be left standing when stored over long periods of time. This is a great mat!
What is the R value of this mat please? Not, the retail value. R value is a warmth rating.
