great three season tent
My Olympus tent (purchased in the 1990s) is still going string but I decided to get a lighter, three season tent and bought a Nautilus. Great tent. I use it for solo summer and winter (non-alpine) hikes. It might be a little cramped for two, but probably no more then any other two person tents. Good value for money.

Really Old, Really Phenomenal.
This was my first Macpac tent, until it got trashed in a car accident. It was at least 15 years old, and in that time there was a period I lived in it continuously for a year solid. Towards the end the floor was starting to delamination, but still didn't let the wet in. The new ones have probably got some fancy new material.
My only concern was when you unzip the fly when raining, it got damp in the entry. I got good at that zip!
It got stuffed into many different sea kayak holds and was none the worse for wear using only it's original stuff sacred.
The abuse I gave it over the years is the reason I decided to replace it with a shiney new Macpac Sololight.

Good value for money, minor mods needed
Have used this tent for three years now. It's a tried and tested design. Good weight balance and functionality. In poor weather it's always worthwhile carrying a ground mat for under the tent and a fly to give you some space as it's quite cosy for two people to be stuck in.

As per Daniels review, the biggest fault in this tent is that there is no internal zip to access the back vestibule. Would have to get out of the tent to properly go through your pack. This is really frustrating as storing gear at the front gets in the way.

I'm now enquiring at tent manufactures to see if they can stitch a zip in for me.

Great Beginner Tent
We've been using this tent in the Marlborough Sounds and it has been great. The weather's been pretty good for us, so I haven't tested it in wild weather yet.

Impressed by its toughness
Took thectent out for its first use on Matiu-Somes Island in Wellington Harbour. Very easy to put up in the wind. A bit of a squeeze for two adults with packs but quite workable. Thectent held up beautifully in very high winds gusting to 75kmph (we were told the next morning)
We may not have got much sleep but the tent was a champ!

Nautilus as a bright living space
My Nautilus is easily big enough as a comfortable living place for a medium stay camp-out. The fabrics all work well to provide a waterproof environment and the ventilation keeps this dry and airy. There is plenty of room for moving around inside the tent for dressing and kit fits easily into the covered area provided in the vestibule area.
All in all a great little camping tent, pleasant, economical and a quality product.

Great little tent
I love this tent, its light, very quick and easy to put up and take down, well designed and very well made. I've had a few trips with it now and I have to say its the best tent i've owned by far. The only negative I would say is that it is a little "cosy" with two blokes and their gear but that is pretty normal for two man tents anyway. It is well ventilated but surprisingly warm and the build quality is excellent. It has held up to high winds and rain without damage so far. Excellent three season tent.

Ruth
We took this tent for the first time to Totara Flats in the Tararua's. Used it over the weekend of heavy rain and it held up well. It was quick and easy to put up and take down. I would agree that it is very cosy for two people, but is worth it. Excellent value for money!

Great little tent
I love it. Cheap for a high quality item. Light weight, easy to set up and performs well. Had a great few nights out in zero conditions.

Very easy to put up, good size to weight ratio. Easy to pack away too. Very happy with the (sale) price.
