Brilliant coat - for town or bush
Super warm and very well made longline jacket. It has a flattering cut and doesn’t make me feel like a ‘Michelin woman’ like my old down jacket. I love, love, love that Macpac follow the Responsible Down Standard!

Hi guys. Does this jacket pack down smallish for travel ?Would it fit in hand luggage ?Thanks
Liz S on Oct 10, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Not practical if you want to carry inside your hand luggage as it doesn't pack down that small. But it's a fabulous jacket, just carry it on.
Will this jacket keep off the rain?
Maree J on Apr 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: H! The jacket is water resistant and can prob keep you dry in light showers but it’s not water proof (you won’t be able to wear it as a rain coat or in heavy showers). I think they do make a waterproofing spray specifically for down jackets and coats which you can use and that will up the waterproof-ness. It’s not a perm spray though so you’ll need to reapply once every 1-2 weeks depending on frequency of wear! :)
Hi guys, is this jacket waterproof?
Anne K on Feb 18, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hello Anne, this jacket is not waterproof, it has DWR treatment, which is water repellent treatment but does not make the garment waterproof. Thanks.
Hi! I know this jacket is "water resistant"(not waterproof), but can you wear it in the snow? Not skiing...more like, making a snowman/ maybe toboganing? And remain dry? (sorry for the silly question, it is my first time in the snow!)
Seraphina on Jan 5, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Hello Stephanie,

Yes we think this should be fine. Snow is actually quite dry. You will only get wet if you are in rain, snow (actually snowing) or if lying down on snow and it melts. General use in snow conditions on a fine day should be fine.

Thanks the Macpac Team
What is the length (from shoulder/neck to hem) of size 10 jacket? Thanks.
Nik M on May 16, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi Nik, thanks for your comment. From the highest point of the shoulder to the hem line (front) should be approx. 82cm
Hi, does the hood have toggle fasteners? Cheers
Willbee on Apr 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hello Karl, This particular jacket does not have a hood with a toggle fastener but the hood does have draw string which allows you to adjust the hood accordingly. The jacket also has the option of making the hood detachable if required. We hope this helps. Thanks.
