Macpac Mini Nemesis Softshell Pants — Kids'
Why we made this
Warm and durable, these kids' softshell pants are ideal for hiking or playing in cold conditions.
Made from a thicker softshell fabric, the Mini Nemesis softshell Pants are designed for comfort and weather protection while kids are hiking or playing in cold, exposed conditions. As a technical hiking layer, they have articulated patterning through the knees and enough elastane fibre to enable free movement — crucial for active kids scrambling over boulders and through the undergrowth when outside playing. Providing basic weather resistance with a short-chain DWR C6 fabric finish, these pants are breathable and abrasion resistant for increased comfort and durability in harsh environments. They feature an adjustable internal waistband, belt loops and zipped hand pockets — plus, when your child grows taller, you can unpick the leg hems to gain a few extra centimetres of length.

Great for winter outdoor wear
My kids wore these under Macpac rain pants for skiing in European winter (the rain pants are no longer on the website - were heavier with zips at the ankles). The nemesis pant legs are slim so tuck into ski boots but were a great weight and water repellent for winter wear in Europe (temps -10 to 15 degrees celsius). Seem true to size, we used the adjustable elastic for the waist to fit well. Flexible fabric for adventures!
