Does the filter have an expiry date i.e. say I bought it today but didn't use it at all would it be ineffective 5 years or less/more?

LifeStraw Water Filter Bottle

BEST ANSWER: Hi Harshan
Lifestraw products have no shelf life.
The Lifestraw filters 1,000 gallons (4,000 liters), enough drinking water for an individual for over 5 years.
It is then possible to buy a replacement filter to extend the life of your drink bottle.
You can find out more about the product specifications on the Lifestraw website: https://www.lifestraw.com/products/lifestraw-go

Does this have a 2 stage filter? I think there are two variant of this bottle: one normal and another a 2 stage one.
BEST ANSWER: Hello Sandeep. The 114529 is the single stage filter. The newer model 118795 is the 2 stage filter. These aren't showing online, but will have this fixed in the next day or two. These are instore too.
