    Made from a stretchy nylon/elastane fabric and filled with 650 loft RDS duck down — ‘RDS’ being the Responsible Down Standard for the ethical sourcing of down — the Ascend Jacket is warm and flexible. In addition to the elastane content, the unique fabric weave is designed to create ‘stepped’ baffles, which binds the fabric in a way that still allows it to stretch with you. To maximise warmth, the elastic bound hood, hem and cuffs help to trap warm air against your body, while discreet zipped pockets keep hands cosy when the temperature drops.

whats the warmth rating like compared to say a Halo & also what's the pack size?

Thank you for your enquiry.

Overall the warmth ratings are very similar between these two jackets. The ascend has less down (32g in a size 10 for example) and it does not come with a stuff sac however can pack down comparatively to the Halo Hooded Jacket.

Is this jacket particularly windproof? If not which down jackets are?

As the baffles in this jacket are woven into the fabric and not sewn, it will give you a better level of wind resistance compared to our other down jackets. Down proof fabrics are also constructed with a tight weave which will also provide a level of wind resistance.
