is this a good bag to do the Tongariro crossing? or would it be to big?
Angeline W on Feb 3, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Hi Angeline,

No, this would be a good size as you will want to make sure you pack for all conditions as the weather can change quickly on the crossing.

Thanks,

I am a big guy, 183cm and 120ish kgs. Using the size guide I have a back measurement of 53cm. Is the ST size of this pack suitable for me?
Hubert on Jan 3, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Hi Hubert,

The ST stands for Standard, so you wouldn't be able to order a different harness size.
If you are able to, we would recommend heading to your nearest store to try it on, otherwise we do have a 60 day return policy if you order online and isn't quite the right ft.

Thanks,
The Macpac Team
Is this pack a good fit for women?
Marcia W on Sep 30, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Hi Marcia,

This would depend on the back length, but the standard fit should be fine for both Men and Women. If you purchase and it isn't the right fit, then we have a 60 day Return or Exchange policy.

Thanks,
The Macpac Team
Hey team. What does size ST translate to?
John H on Aug 14, 2020

How water resistant is this pack?
Murray C on Aug 11, 2020

Thank you for your question.

This item is made from Titan grid 100D Nylon silicone coating which makes it highly water resistant however it is not waterproof. A raincover is advised.

What is the pack weight without the hipbelt? Or how much does the hipbelt itself weigh
Jimmoes on May 3, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Hello Ben

Our instore measurements are (please give or take a few grams for scale differentiation!)
Pack With hip belt 900g
Pack without hip belt 680g
Hip belt 220g

Kind Regards,
The Macpac Team!
I have three questions:

1) What are the outer dimensions of the sack?
2) What size torso does it fit best?
3) How much water resistance does it have, and what rain cover options are there?

Thanks! Awesome looking pack.
Matthew R on Jun 13, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hello Matthew. Answers to your questions below:

1. approx. length 80cm x 40cm and depth 25cm when packed.
2. It is a standard size harness so no adjustments can be made. The length of the torso is approx. 45cm
3. It is made from Titan grid 100D Nylon silicone coating, highly water resistant but not waterproof. A raincover is advised.
We sell rain covers in size 25l an 30l.
Can this be used for mountain biking?
Nicole P on Apr 28, 2019
