Excellent summer moderate mountaineering boot; narrow to medium feet.
I don't do much alpine climbing these days, but took some friends up the NW Ridge of Aspiring in March, and couldn't face torturing my feet with my old plastics so bought a pair of these for the occasion. They were absolutely brilliant for the purpose - good grip on rock, both on slabs and edges, and my old Salewa strap on crampons fitted securely. For moderate routes such as this they were perfect. The big comfort test was the 10 hour walk out the next day (we had flown in to Bevan Col). My wife's feet were suffering by the end of the day, and I would be careful with the fit; if you have narrow to medium feet these are great boots.
