Great jacket with room for refinement

Alain, 29/03/14

I use this jacket for cycling on those cold winter days and it does a valiant job of keeping snug and cosy in those harsh conditions; it completely blocks the wind and the microfibre fleece lining is warm and soft against your skin.

There are two main issues that prevent this jacket from being excellent. Firstly, the foldaway feature of the hood is flimsy and fairly useless. Secondly, and the more consistently frustrating is the storm flap gets caught in the zip, more often than not. You end up learning at what angle is best to unzip the jacket, but it's not convenient!

A great lightweight jacket, just not that durable

Chris, 18/09/14

I've been running in this jacket over the winter, and have had no real complaints.

The good:
The jacket is cut well, doesn't restrict freedom of movement, keeps me remarkably warm and keeps out most of the worst weather.

The bad:
However, the pertex fabric is not durable. The first trail run with my hydration pack resulted in pulling and abrasion marks across all areas of contact. Zips are a nuisance and jam easily, particularly on the pockets. The cut around the wrist can be a little tight, particularly if you use a bulky GPS watch.

In all, for the money it is a worthwhile investment. Just dont expect it to last long if you wear gear over the top of it.
