All our down is (independently) certified to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS) [Control Union][CUC 1210688]. The RDS requires animal welfare practices to be in place at duck and goose farms in the down and feather supply chain.
AT A GLANCE
Our highest performing down jacket, made with recycled main and lining fabrics and water resistant 800 loft goose down. For alpine belaying and the coldest winter days.
Performance Indicators*
Warmth
5/5
Several factors influence a jacket's warmth. Loft, or 'Fill Power,' measures down quality, while fill weight refers to the amount of down in grams. The type of down used also plays a key role. Our warmth ratings consider all three factors.
Packability
4/5
A garment's packability depends on several factors, including fabric weight, fill, and construction. We assess packability based on these elements and whether the garment can be packed into an internal pocket. Some Macpac items compress smaller than others.
Weight
2/5
Factors such as fabric weight, fill weight, and construction influence how light or heavy a garment feels. Our weight ratings consider all these elements. Some Macpac jackets are designed for lightweight performance, while others prioritize warmth over weight for colder conditions.

Product Description
The Alpine Series Arrowsmith combines ALLIED Feather + Down HyperDRY goose down with weather resistant Pertex® Quantum recycled nylon to create the ultimate belay jacket. This ultralight Pertex® Quantum fabric lets the goose down fill fully loft. Boxed baffles through the body decrease cold spots, and sewn-through hood and arm baffles reduce bulk. There are two glove-friendly zipped hand pockets and two internal mesh pockets. The helmet-compatible hood is adjustable, and everything packs into the left hand pocket.A PFC-free WR finish encourages water to bead and roll of this slightly longer-fitting down jacket. Perfect for long days on icy climbs and the coldest days you can think of.Our Alpine Series is the direct result of our partnership with the New Zealand Alpine Team (NZAT). This team of elite mountaineers demand premium lightweight equipment that doesn't compromise performance. The main and lining fabrics are bluesign® approved, which means they were manufactured with the responsible use of resources. This product contains RDS down certified by CU 1210688.
