A good liner
I purchased the escapade 150 two years ago specifically to use as a liner for my normal down bag for those nights when the temperature drops well below zero (my other bag is rated to -6 degrees). I've subsequently used the combination during walks in both Tasmania and the Victorian high country, and I'd estimate the escapade 150 adds around 7 degrees of warmth, which is great. I've also slept in the '150' by itself several times during milder weather, and I've always been comfortable.

I've been after a lightweight summer bag for a while, and picked up an Escapade on sale.

I'm a warm sleeper, and about the only time I haven't overheated in my 3+ season bag was sleeping in huts in snow. I find this bag plenty warm enough for most 3-season conditions with a silk liner; it also zips into a rectangular blanket that works well for warm temperatures.

I intended to also use it as a liner to boost the warmth of my 3+ season bag for snow trips, but suspect it might be a bit too warm.

The rectangular design with no hood make it a bit more versatile than an ultra-light mummy bag, as it can be zipped out into a rectangular blanket.

Great Product
Ive had the opportunity to have this as my go to lightweight sleeping bag for tramping over a few seasons. Fine for camping in summer or staying in huts..and with the addition of a thermal liner ok even in winter. If you want a very lightweight bag, packable down to the size of a grapefruit then I would highly recommend this one

After all of the research I've done on utralight weight summer bags. this is the one I want! Is there any way to be able to purchase it in the U.S. or have it shipped here?
rita b on Mar 19, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hello Rita, unfortunately at the moment, the only way would be to get it shipped to a friend or family member that lives outside of the USA, and they could then re-send onto you. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Hei, could two of this sleeping bag be zipped together to make a nice double bag?
Fridrik F on Oct 9, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi Fridrick, 2 of these can be zipped together as long as one is a LHZ and the other is a RHZ. Thanks, The Macpac Team.
