Product Description
Tried and tested by the New Zealand Alpine Team, the Barrier Bib Pertex® Rain Pants are engineered for mountaineering and what we call 'transalpine tramping' in Aotearoa New Zealand. Durable for their weight, these waterproof pants are made from Pertex® Shield Pro with a short-chain DWR C6 finish, providing a 20,000 mm hydrostatic head rating. The elastic suspenders are adjustable, helping to keep the bib secured and making it easy to drop your seat when you’re on the go. When you do need to shed a layer, the water-resistant YKK® AquaGuard® full-length leg zips make life easy, allowing you to keep your boots and crampons on in the process. To make sure these pants stand the test of time, reinforced fabric has been applied to areas of wear — instep, leg hem, knee and hip areas — to help protect against sharp crampons and ice tools hanging off your harness. Lastly, in case of emergencies, we’ve added in an internal mesh pouch pocket so you can keep your personal locator beacon (PLB) close to hand. -
