Product Description
The Halo range balances warmth and versatility. This jacket is a great option for wearing around town, the hills, and the campsite.
Its combination of recycled main and inner fabric and 600 loft duck down provides plenty of feel good warmth. An adjustable hem and cuffs help trap heat in, and a PFC-free water repellent finish encourages water to bead and roll off the fabric's surface.
The main and lining fabrics are bluesign® approved, which means they were manufactured with the responsible use of resources. This product contains RDS down certified by CU 1210688. The Responsible Down Standard (RDS) (independently) certifies down and feathers against animal welfare requirements and tracks it from farm to final product.
All Macpac down is independently certified to the RDS. -

Reviews
I do love the quality and good design Macpac embodies - zips that fasten and unfasten smoothly, with no fiddling about. Nicely cuffed at the wrists, and adjustable thingies in various strategic spots. I can feel how well insulated I am from the super chill winds that we have had recently. Have had a lot of compliments about the plum colour of this jacket and am delighted with my purchase. Light, super warm and very functional. Great work, Macpac!
Q&A
Thank you for your question Jo. The Halo jacket should be comfortable around those conditions. The best suggestion would be to go to your nearest Macpac store if possible and try one on to get a real feel for the warmth.
Thanks the Macpac team.
It might work if you layer it up with a warmer and a fleece jacket.
We suggest getting in touch with one of our stores for more support here. To find your local store please visit:

No, however their is a Halo Hooded Down Jacket listed separately however colours may vary.
Hello, the Halo jacket is water resistant, but not waterproof. This means it will be fine if you got caught out in a quick shower, or in a bit of drizzle.
Thanks the Macpac Team
The jacket should puff up / loft up more, and the wrinkles / creases should reduce to almost nothing over the coming weeks. The advice is to wear it lots, and when not wearing it hang on the back of a chair or on a coat hanger.
Thanks the Macpac Team
I bought mine on macpac website and the fit is generous nice and roomy
The color is not teal it is more like a navy or what could be called petrol blue.
Hello Willow, great question. The sleeve length will be longer in the mens. The Womens will be a tapered for womens shape and the mens size for size should be slightly longer.
Thanks the Macpac Team
Because my daughter "misplaced" her other one 😡
