All our down is (independently) certified to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS) [Control Union][CUC 1210688]. The RDS requires animal welfare practices to be in place at duck and goose farms in the down and feather supply chain.
AT A GLANCE
Our ever-popular coat, now available as a jacket. Designed with an oversized hood for warmth and cosiness on cold weather outings.
Performance Indicators*
Warmth
2/5
Several factors influence a jacket's warmth. Loft, or 'Fill Power,' measures down quality, while fill weight refers to the amount of down in grams. The type of down used also plays a key role. Our warmth ratings consider all three factors.
Packability
3/5
A garment's packability depends on several factors, including fabric weight, fill, and construction. We assess packability based on these elements and whether the garment can be packed into an internal pocket. Some Macpac items compress smaller than others.
Weight
4/5
Factors such as fabric weight, fill weight, and construction influence how light or heavy a garment feels. Our weight ratings consider all these elements. Some Macpac jackets are designed for lightweight performance, while others prioritize warmth over weight for colder conditions.

Product Description
This boxy down jacket is made with a matte outer fabric and duck down. Its wide, horizontal baffles are bonded to double down on the clean finish of the matte outer fabric. The result is no visible stitching, and the centre storm flap (held in place by discreet domes) hides the zip as well. The oversized hood adds plenty of cosiness but it can be zipped off for a simpler look. Finishing at the hips, there are hem adjustments to trap warmth. This product contains RDS down certified by CU 1210688. The Responsible Down Standard (RDS) (independently) certifies down and feathers against animal welfare requirements and tracks it from farm to final product.
All Macpac down is independently certified to the RDS. -
