Product Description
Take your little explorer along for the ride with the Vamoose Child Carrier — designed to be safe and stable, this child carrier is all about comfort for both parent and child. With a colourful 'kiwi' print, the Vamoose has a breathable Explorer harness with a wide, padded hip belt for effective weight distribution and overall pack stability. The adjustable child seat, with a three stage hook-n-clip harness system, ‘grows' with your child and helps to keep them secure on the go. Made from durable fabrics with plenty of pockets for extra gear — it has a 19 litre storage capacity and a detachable day pack — the Vamoose Child Carrier is perfect for adventurous families. Easy to remove, the day pack unzips off the carrier for everyday convenience or when you need to share the load. The Vamoose Child Carrier has a 20 kg maximum weight limit and includes our Sombrero sunshade and Rainbow rain cover for unpredictable weather days. It's also compatible with our child neck pillow but this is sold separately.
Please read the warning and instruction labels on your child carrier carefully prior to use. -

Care
You are best to clean your pack with a natural, non-detergent soap and a soft-bristled brush
Suitable soap types are: pure soap, vegetable soap and Nikwax® Tech Wash®
Rinse the pack well and dry it in a well-ventilated area out of direct sunlight
Do not put your pack in the washing machine as this will void your warranty
Always try to keep the zip teeth clean — wash with fresh, clean water and lubricate with a silicon lubricant suitable for use on fabrics
Do not tumble dry, iron or dryclean

Do you sell the detachable day pack separately? Ours went missing. Or are there any other day packs compatible with the zip on this?
BEST ANSWER: Hi Sarah,
Unfortunately we do not stock the day pack to purchase.
You could try contacting the Customer Care team directly and they could check to see there may be a spare somewhere.
Thanks,
The Macpac Team

Do you still have the additional pillow for the carriers? To help support baby while sleeping.
BEST ANSWER: Hi There,
Yes, we still have a handful of these in our stores. If your local store doesn't have one available, you could ask them to transfer one in for you.
Alternatively, we look to be getting another shipment in soon, and should be available online by the end of February.
Thanks,
The Macpac Team

Hi, the instructions say that when fitting your child in the carrier, their shoulders should be at the height of, or just below, the height of the back of the carrier. Now that my son is getting bigger, even on the third hook for the seat, he sits higher than the recommended level. Is this correct or should you stop using the hook and click system after a certain weight/height? Many thanks.
BEST ANSWER: Hi Heather,
Yes, it sounds like your son has outgrown the pack now. The webbing is the securing system and is not to be used without the hooks/loop.
Thanks,
The Macpac Team

Hi there, I can see that this has a max weight limit of 20kg but I cannot find any information on what age is appropriate to begin using it.
My little dude is 5 months and we are looking for a carry pack. Would this be suitable at 5 months?
Cheers

Where can I find instructions on how to fold the frame for airline travel?
BEST ANSWER: Hello Jessica,
Here is how to open the frame out (with description) from our instructions. Just follow these points in reverse order:
https://www.macpac.com.au/on/demandware.static/-/Library-Sites-MacpacSharedLibrary/default/dw3fdbed4c/files/Child_Carrier_Instructions.pdf
It would probably be wise to enclose the Carrier in some sort of bag to avoid straps getting caught on the airline systems (e.g. a Totem). To hold the Carrier more tightly flat (if don’t want to use a bag) you could tighten all straps and add a strap round center if they felt necessary.
Kind regards,
The Macpac team
