Do you sell the detachable day pack separately? Ours went missing. Or are there any other day packs compatible with the zip on this?
Sarah R on Mar 1, 2021

Unfortunately we do not stock the day pack to purchase.
You could try contacting the Customer Care team directly and they could check to see there may be a spare somewhere.

Hi, what are the measurements for the adults waist for this to fit? Is it the same for the other child carrier?
Nikki L on Feb 10, 2021

The size guide, which is next to where you select the harness size, will give the measurements needed when looking to select the correct size.

The Macpac Team
Do you still have the additional pillow for the carriers? To help support baby while sleeping.
I A on Feb 3, 2021

Yes, we still have a handful of these in our stores. If your local store doesn't have one available, you could ask them to transfer one in for you.
Alternatively, we look to be getting another shipment in soon, and should be available online by the end of February.

The Macpac Team
Hi, the instructions say that when fitting your child in the carrier, their shoulders should be at the height of, or just below, the height of the back of the carrier. Now that my son is getting bigger, even on the third hook for the seat, he sits higher than the recommended level. Is this correct or should you stop using the hook and click system after a certain weight/height? Many thanks.
Heather D on Jan 26, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Hi Heather,

Yes, it sounds like your son has outgrown the pack now. The webbing is the securing system and is not to be used without the hooks/loop.

The Macpac Team
Hi, any idea when this will be in stock?
Sarah on Jan 22, 2021

There should me more stock arriving mid-Feb, but believe there are some delays so probably not till March.

The Macpac Team
Hi there, I can see that this has a max weight limit of 20kg but I cannot find any information on what age is appropriate to begin using it.
My little dude is 5 months and we are looking for a carry pack. Would this be suitable at 5 months?
Nicola on Jan 14, 2021

Yes, this should be fine for a 5 month old, so long as he is able to hold his head up unsupported.

The Macpac Team
Hi there, will you be getting these back in stock? Thank you.
Natalie P on Jan 1, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Hi Natalie,

Yes, we should have more stock arriving in the next week or two.

The Macpac Team
Is there a way to support the child more when they sleep? My wee man ends up super slumped over and therefore is unable to stay asleep
Stancy A on Oct 31, 2020

We sell a Child Carrier Pillow that can be used to help keep the head up.

The Macpac Team
Hi team, when will the Vamoose Child Carrier be back in stock? I assume Covid-19 has affected supply. Thank you
Pedro on Oct 24, 2020

We have a select few left in New Zealand stores, but look to be getting more in store at the start of next month, in both S2 and S3 harnesses.

Where can I find instructions on how to fold the frame for airline travel?
jess r on Feb 8, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Hello Jessica,

Here is how to open the frame out (with description) from our instructions. Just follow these points in reverse order:

It would probably be wise to enclose the Carrier in some sort of bag to avoid straps getting caught on the airline systems (e.g. a Totem). To hold the Carrier more tightly flat (if don’t want to use a bag) you could tighten all straps and add a strap round center if they felt necessary.

Kind regards,
The Macpac team
Hi can anyone suggest how big/heavy a child can be before out growing this? - thank you
Scott J on Dec 28, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hello Scott,

The child carrier has a weight limit of 20kg.

Kind regards,
The Macpac Team
Hi there, where can I find the cover for the pack (as shown in the pictures) not the rain cover, just the cover?
dee l on Dec 17, 2019

The cover on the picture is the rain cover - It is in the backpack on the back with the sunshade in it also.

Kind regards,
The Macpac team
Hi - are there any instructions on how to put the sun shade and rain cover on?

Where can I find instructions on how to install the sunshade?
Jen R on Feb 10, 2019

Can I take this inside a plane as a carry-on? Thanks!
Veeloved on Feb 1, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi Vee, we would recommend getting in touch with the airline you are flying with as each individual airline has different carry-on specifications. The airline will be able to clarify this for you.
